HEADS UP: THE JOURNEY TO MIAMI

We’re two and a half weeks out from the Miami Grand Prix, and the landscape looks like this. Mercedes are dominant and pulling away. Ferrari are second and building. McLaren are bringing their biggest upgrade of the season to Florida and their season depends on it landing. Red Bull are in existential crisis. Max Verstappen is miserable, his race engineer, Lambiase, is leaving and the Red Bull car is fundamentally uncompetitive. Aston Martin have no points and no immediate solution, and the regulations that govern how all of them race are still being rewritten in meeting rooms this week.
Miami is coming with a lot on the line. Amid mixed fan reactions across the races so far, this is where we find out what this season actually is.
